What goes around, comes around

For the final task for L/L Writing we wrote a short story that had to finish with the phrase: "It was the last time she saw them."
My story is about a girl that was bullied when she was a child and was treated as a nerd and years after, she used that as an advantage for her life.
In 2013 there was a girl called Sabrina,  who was the most intelligent girl of all school. Because of that, she was bullied by the most popular, and follish groups of teens. She was told that all her intelligence was not going to do any good when she went to college, that she was ugly, and that she would die alone. Because of those jokes, she suffered from depresssion and low self-esteem.
Some years later,

At the 10th dinner reunion, everybody was jealous of her as she was perfect, she had twins and a beautiful fiancé. They also envied that she was having a perfect job: she was a pediatrician surgeon, and his fiancé too. Sabrina told her partners how her life was like after school and how it had improved. She told them that she had forgotten all the horrible things that they had done to her, and they told her that they were ready to apologize to her for it, but she didn't accept.
When she was leaving, a popular girl of the school was giving a speech about things that happened during their school years. In the middle of it, she said that she was sorry about what happened with Sabrina and the jokes. She also said that the things that had happened to Sabrina at school were happening to her in her job. She admitted that now she realised what Sabrina felt for all those years and she apologized for that.
When the girl went down the stage she gave a hug to Sabrina. When they separated Sabrina said "Now you can see how it feels." The girl nodded and hugged her again.
Eventhought the girl apologized, it was the last time she saw them.
